Scott Hall

Hey all! I know what you're thinking.how the heck did this guy, affectionately known as "Skid" to the club, become the Secretary of "THE" Magna Rider's Association and NOT even ride a Magna? Well just relax! >;^D I began my riding career in 1998 on a 1984 V30 (500CC) Magna and started my duties as Secretary before upgrading to the my current 1985 V65 (1100CC) Sabre.

At the time, I was actually trying to make the decision between an 80's V65 Magna and the latest generation Magna. My neighbor picked up this Sabre, with only 15K on the clock, at an auction for dirt-cheap and proceeded to park it so it mocked my lil V30 for three days. As Popeye would say, "That' s all I can stands and I can't stands no more!" The next day the bike was mine. I thought I'd sell the Sabre once I found a big Magna but as time went on I found I really liked "so called" ugly stepsister of the V-4 family.

I moved from Orange County California to Austin Texas in December of 2001. I made some fine riding friends in California, most of all Larry Link (member #188) who deservedly saddled me with my nickname. I miss them all but have begun and am eager to meet many of our other members in the region. Shoot me a note if you'd like to get together.
